SUMMARY:Virtual Visit to St. Paul's
DESCRIPTION:One of the major events that Lime Street & Cornhill Ward Club’s Master had hoped to include in his year was a tour of St Paul’s (we are hoping that we might include a visit in 2021). This obviously is not possible at the moment given the current sad scenario. \nHowever the Master has asked a friend of his\, the “Chief Wandsman” at St Paul’s to take us on a very special tour. Patrick Wilkins has been a “Wandsman” (Usher) for around 25 years\, thus has an amazing knowledge of this beautiful building. He is a Past Master Baker (2016) and as a career\, a detective he says\, “unlike other professions\, in mine the customer was nearly always in the wrong”! \nWe will be taken round the main body of St Paul’s with highlights being pointed out as we go along\, and hopefully a quick visit to the Whispering Gallery and maybe even out on the roof. All from your arm chair. Philip is an excellent speaker and we are in for a unique treat. \nBook yourself a place\, friends and family can join in.
