SUMMARY:US Property Cat Rankings Awards
DESCRIPTION:The Insurance Insider will host its inaugural US Property Cat Awards on 5 April – an event to recognise the market’s achievements and celebrate its rising stars\, superstars and most skilled practitioners. \nUnlike traditional awards ceremonies where a panel of judges pick who they believe to be the winner of a category\, the winners of the US property cat awards are derived from aggregated survey data collected by The Insurance Insider’s rankings team. \nThe survey only allows for underwriters and brokers active in the US property cat reinsurance sector to take part and results are statistically significant. We ensure minimum levels of participation are set so as to achieve a maximum error margin of 10 percent of overall scores at a 95 percent confidence level (this means the sample size is sufficiently large so as to ensure the ranking scores remain unchallenged if the survey were to be run repeatedly). \nFor the shortlists of each individual award\, we pick the top five highest ranked individuals from each company in their respective field.
