The first Joint Cargo Committee (JCC) Forum of the year will take place on Wednesday 16 February 2022 via Microsoft Teams.

Description

The Forum will include a brief report on current JCC activity, followed by an IHS Markit briefing on the cargo risks outlook for 2022.

The IHS Markit Country Risk team will give an update on the following topics:

• risks to marine and aviation cargo in Saudi Arabia and the Red Sea from Yemen’s Houthi Movement
• civil unrest risks around this summer’s leadership contests in South Africa and Kenya, with potential impact on regional transit hubs such as Durban and Mombasa
• risk of war between Ukraine and Russia, and potential impact on cargo in the region
• risk of military escalation between China and Taiwan.

This is a joint LMA & IUA event.
