DESCRIPTION:Future Leaders Nature Summit 2025\nAre you a future leader of the insurance industry\, looking to forge connections with others and help bring about meaningful change? \nThe IIL YMC and Climate Pursuits are looking for next year’s cohort for a once-in-a-lifetime experience on the west coast of Scotland. \nIndustry collaboration and facilitated discussion is key to shaping the climate & sustainability agenda in the insurance industry. We also recognise the importance of supporting changemakers in realising the full potential of their careers and developing lasting relationships as they become future leaders of the industry. \nThat is why\, for the second year running\, we are arranging our popular ‘Nature Summit’ on the west coast of Scotland – a chance for rising talent to connect over expert workshops\, outdoor learning and activities like sea kayaking and nature walks. \nThis is not only an investment in your professional development but also a way to positively impact rural economies by engaging local experts and communities at the frontiers of climate action. \nProgramme includes\nNine hours of CPD\, delivered by local experts and hosted by Jack Watt\, Founder\, Climate Pursuits \n\nJoss Carnegie\, Farms Manager\, Atlantic Mariculture (as seen on RE:TV)\nUnderstand the challenges and opportunities of innovating our food systems through the lens of seaweed cultivation\nLearn about how sea kelp farming helps both climate change adaptation\, mitigation and biodiversity regeneration\nUnderstand how the insurance community can play a key role in facilitating regenerative agriculture\n\n  \n\nMatt Waterston\, Outdoor Wildlife and Kayaking Expert\nUnderstand the context to\, and history of\, land and marine management with respect to wildlife\nLearn first-hand about how aquatic ecosystems and wildlife are coping and adapting to today’s conditions\nExplore Scotland’s rich biodiversity\, and learn about what business measures can be taken to maintain and improve it\n\n  \n\nLeon Durbin\, Wildlife Biologist & Conservation Expert\nUnderstand the UK’s aquatic ecosystems and wildlife and how climate change is impacting behavioural patterns\nUnderstand the UK’s terrestrial flora\, the threat of invasive species and how climate change is impacting growing conditions\nBest practices for ecological and ecosystem conservation and restoration\, discussed in the context of risk management and insurance solutions\n\nThe details\nIndicative cost for this event is £2\,500-£3\,000. There is guidance on the application page on how to make the business case to your manager. \nThis is an exclusive experience for IIL members\, hosted by Climate Pursuits in association with the IIL YMC. Applications will be processed by Climate Pursuits and jointly assessed with the IIL YMC. \nWhile all applications are welcome\, this experience is primarily designed for insurance professionals under 40 who have gained at least five years’ experience in the insurance industry. \nNot all applications will be successful – we expect this experience to be in high demand\, and we aim to select a diverse representation of the insurance industry to foster connections and engagement. If you are not successful this time\, there are likely to be future opportunities to re-apply. \nEach place is funded by the individual’s organisation – you should be comfortable that the indicative cost will be signed off on or already have sought approval\, before applying. \nYou will leave on the morning of Monday 28 April from London Euston\, and return on the morning of Friday 2 May morning at 8am via Sleeper Train. \n \n\n \n Share this event with your colleagues:\n \n \n \n\n \n \n\n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Facebook\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Twitter\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n LinkedIn\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n \n Email\n \n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Visit Event Website
