DESCRIPTION:Cyber Risk Workshop – How to Measure and Communicate What Matters in Cybersecurity Risk 2024\nAttend this interactive workshop to learn what’s important in measuring and communicating risk\, as well as share knowledge and best practices with your peers. \nDuring this workshop\, we will delve into the heart of cybersecurity risk measurement across three progressive sessions. Our focus will be on discovering which risks are most likely to cause significant business losses across the intersection of assets\, threats and vulnerabilities. \nThe workshop will cover three key areas: \n\nCybersecurity metrics on rails. Learn the building blocks for modern capability-based metrics. This course covers the concept\, object and methods of measurement and applies them to creating easy-to-operationalise measures.\nThe quantified cybersecurity risk register. Use the concepts from the first session to assemble a quantified risk register. Focus on crown-jewel assets while incorporating simple monetary measurements to quantify\, qualify\, communicate and advocate for improvement. Learn how to build simple metrics cards that can be assembled into dashboards.\nPresenting metrics that matter to the board. Learn how to develop risk-driven board presentations that leverage the concepts from sessions 1 and 2. You will get access to simple PowerPoint templates and outlines for framing your presentation.\n\nFacilitator\nRichard Seiersen is the author of two books: How to Measure Anything in Cybersecurity Risk and The Metric Manifesto: Confronting Security with Data.
