DESCRIPTION:CPD visit to City of London Police Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED) 2025\nDuring this IIL CPD educational visit\, attendees will get an inside view of IFED\, the specialist police unit established in 2012 to investigate serious\, organised\, and opportunistic insurance fraud. \nThis visit is a presentation by the IFED\, which covers an introduction to the City of London Police and IFED\, how referrals are received and then acted on\, the key priority areas\, working with insurers\, investigations and what determines whether an investigation leads to proceeding to court and the probability of a prosecution. The presentation includes examples and brief case studies. \nLearning objectives\n\nAn understanding of the role of IFED and its operations\nAn understanding of key priority areas and referrals\nAn understanding of IFED investigations and prosecutions\n\nAttendees are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the venue. The nearest tube stations are: Moorgate\, Bank and Mansion House. \nRefreshments will be provided. \nPlaces on visits are limited and will be allocated on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nA fee will be charged for all visits.
