DESCRIPTION:Description\nThe Master- Elect has pleasure in inviting you to this year’s Annual Installation Dinner and AGM which will be held on Monday 28th February 2022. The dinner will be held at the Leathersellers’ Hall (7 St Helen’s Place\, Bishopsgate\, London EC3A 6AB). We are very privileged to have been invited by the Leathersellers to use their hall. They do not in normal circumstances do this. \nThe new Leathersellers’ Hall was completed in 2016 and is the seventh Hall in the Company’s long history. It is located on a narrow site on the south side of St Helen’s Place. Behind it is the medieval church of St Helen’s Bishopsgate. The new Hall stands exactly where the second Hall\, the former Benedictine Priory of St Helen\, was located up until 1799. The Hall is a fascinating blend of history and 21st century design. \nWe will be having a three course dinner with wine and a “sparkling” reception\, 7.00pm for 7.30pm. Carriages 10.15pm. \n \nThe dinner\nThe Dinner will be preceded by our AGM which will be held at St Ethelburga-the-Virgin within Bishopsgate 78 Bishopsgate\, London EC2N 4AG\, (owing to space limitations at Leathersellers)\, a very short walk from St Helen’s Place. \nOur Master- Elect\, Norman Chapman’s guest speaker is Mr Ian Seaton MBE. He is known to many Members as a very respected Common Councillor for Cornhill Ward. As a Common Councilman he has been actively involved in a wide range of Committees including the Education Board\, Finance\, Investment\, Livery\, Markets and The City Bridge Trust. Ian\, a Past Master Girdler and former Chair of the Board of Governors of the City of London School received his MBE in 2019 recognising his services to Education and Training in the City of London. \nThe cost of the dinner is £130.00\, costs in the City have risen significantly over the last 18 months.\nApplications should be made as soon as possible (cut-off date is Monday 14th February 2022) together with any special health related dietary requirements. Dress Code: Black Tie (positively encouraged) or lounge suits. Seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis – when I receive your cheque\, as seating is limited. \nAGM\nThe dinner is preceded by the AGM at 6.00pm prompt which is expected to finish by 6.45pm.
