DESCRIPTION:Description\nYou are invited to an online discussion with Nick Chalk\, Active Underwriter\, Syndicate 318\, Cincinnati Global. \nCincinnati Global has been a leader in the worldwide property market for many years with an experienced team and a wealth of expertise across numerous territories and occupancies. Their portfolio ranges from heavy industry – such as iron\, steel and petrochemicals – through to real\nestate\, hotels and schools. Cincinnati Global is the managing agent for syndicate 318 acting as a market leader in the property business\, striving to deliver the technical qualities that clients require whilst maintaining a disciplined approach. The syndicate specialises in primary or low-level layered business and since 2020 has also written a war\, terrorism\, credit and political risk portfolio\, adding specie at the end of 2020 and contingency in 2021 as a new classes. \n \nNick Chalk joined Syndicate 318 in 2000\, prior to which he worked in insurance and reinsurance broking (starting with CT Bowring) before going on to Claims Adjusting for two years. He began working with the Property D&F team\, becoming Senior Underwriter in 2013\, and was appointed Active Underwriter in June 2019. \nThe ALM is honoured to have Nick present to our members and discuss the current key issues for underwriters. The media is dominated by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the impact of the sanctions.
